WHAT WE USE YOUR DONATIONS FOR
We have recently received concerning news regarding snacks for children from Sabina. The last time the children received them was back on January 29, 2025.
To make matters even more difficult, February marked the start of final exams for the students. We can surely imagine how challenging it must be to concentrate and succeed while hungry. Sadly, this is not the only hardship they are facing. On February 28, Ramadan, which is very important for Muslims, began. While Ramadan is traditionally a period of fasting from down until sunset, for many people in Yemen, fasting has tragically became a daily reality caused by the long-lasting famine resulting from the civil war.
Moreover, Ramadan came to an end on March 29. In many parts of the world, this would be a time of feasting and joy. However, the Yemenis certainly cannot afford that.
For the next 3 to 4 months, we have a clear job to do: we want to raise as much money as possible to provide snacks for the children for the upcoming school year. How much money we raise depends entirely on the generous donations. And since the new school year will probably start at the end of June, we would like to thank those who continue to support children and their families in any way in these incredibly difficult times.
